The Society’s newest exhibit, “Northport and the Civil War: A Few Good Men” opened with a reception on June 7 to a terrific crowd. The exhibit explores life in Northport before the war and shows who the men were, their families, their homes and their livelihoods. Among the items on display are authentic Civil War artifacts such as rifles, swords, personal items and other equipment.
